Pat Murray, an excellent maths teacher from Sydney, has over 15 years experience in the classroom, teaching all kinds of students, from those who are struggling with the basics of maths to high achievers.

Pat originally came up with the concept of ConquerMaths to be able to help his students out of hours, to help those that didn't understand the first time and were too scared to raise their hands and those who'd missed lessons through absence. Several years ago, Pat realised that there were millions of students all around the World who needed exactly the same kind of help.

Now every child has the opportunity to fully understand maths.

Often, students lose their way because of just one missed lesson or misunderstood topic. Because maths rules and principles are cumulative - they build on one another - it's a simple fact that it just stops making sense when one or more of the crucial building blocks of maths are missing.

After recapping with ConquerMaths, gradually it all makes sense. Students who previously hated maths have suddenly started to actually enjoy the subject thanks to help from these lessons.

open  Video controls put the student in complete control of the teacher, allowing them to recap any part of any lesson, any time they like - more »

One problem with classroom teaching is that you can't stop and rewind the teacher when you lose your way. You can raise your hand and ask a question, but you can only do this so many times without disrupting the whole class, and of course many students are embarrassed to raise their hands and draw attention to thermselves.

With ConquerMaths, students can get Pat Murray to repeat any areas they don't understand, as many times as they like until they feel comfortable. There's no embarrassment factor and the teacher will never get frustrated.

open  Raises confidence and motivation on the completion of goals - more »

After filling in any vital missing knowledge, maths becomes logical and understandable again. When students can finally get to grips with something they have struggled with over time, the feeling of accomplishment is remarkable. Students take this to other lessons; if they can manage maths, they can do any subject.

ConquerMaths has successfully changed the outlooks and ambitions of many students.

The average maths tutor costs around £25 to £30 per hour, therefore, a couple of hours maths tuition per week makes a big hole in any family’s budget.

And, critically, they're not likely to be there to help when they are especially needed for help and further explanation with homework or revision.

ConquerMaths costs as little as £15.95 for a whole month of unrestricted access and is available any time the student needs extra help - wherever they are!

open  Over 14,000 auto-marked exam-style questions ensure a solid understanding - more »

Each lesson is accompanied by an appropriate printable worksheet. Students are encouraged to complete their workings on paper, showing every step required to reach the correct answer. This might sound a little long-winded compared to just entering the answer, but it's been done this way intentionally.

In exams, students are always expected to show their workings, in fact in an exam question worth 6 points, 5 of them may be for the workings with just 1 point awarded for the correct answer, so it makes sense to get students used to this.

Over the years, ConquerMaths have tried both methods, and quite simply, when it comes to exams, students who have routinely completed all of their workings on paper, score a much higher grade!

After students enter their results, these are automatically marked and the results added to the individual students ongoing progress report. The students progress report is an excellent place to start when planning revision.

Once students have completed a worksheet, a set of printable worked solutions are made available showing every step which is recommended for each question.
