Patrick Murray
The creator and the teacher in ConquerMaths™, has a comprehensive background in mathematics teaching with over 15 years of working with his students in Sydney, Australia.
He understands the minds of children more than most of us (he has nine of his own ranging from one to sixteen) and this, combined with his concern for students who were having trouble grasping the maths concepts in the classroom, led him to form a multi-disciplined team of professionals to develop a multimedia-based teaching programme.
Pat delivers all the tutorials and worked examples in the programme and many students credit their success to his clear and concise teaching and open approach.
Stephen Murray
The driving force behind software development for ConquerMaths™. A software developer since 1996, in addition to educational software, he produces sophisticated Treasury software for large financial institutions.
Steve has added numerous improved features to this already critically acclaimed programme for the online version of the software and some of his work, particularly in the streaming of the tutorials, is considered industry leading.
In 1998, the programme ran very successfully in increasing numbers of maths teaching centres in Australia and subsequently the software was produced in CD-ROM format.
Following years of outstanding results from the use of their software, the Murrays decided to launch a new Internet Subscription service, ConquerMaths.com, in order to give more students throughout the world access to their programme. To help them do this, they secured the support of an industry veteran in the field of online and technology application in education.
Valerie Constable
Throughout the nineties, Valerie was a Director of OnLine Education Ltd in the Far East. One of the earliest pioneers in education and technology, this company was one of the very first to deliver technology-based, distance learning Undergraduate and Masters degrees though the innovative use of basic technology and the Internet. Within five years, 1,000+ successful students throughout Asia had received their degrees from British Universities, using OLE methodology. Then, as Managing Director in 1998, Valerie created and led the acclaimed multi-discipline and multi-national team that converted and delivered a fully online complete and accredited MBA, the first of its kind in the world.
In 1999, she co-authored a well-received paper on 'Online Education' with Dr. Charles Beard for delivery at the 8th World Business Dialogue. Topic "Re-Thinking Knowledge" at the University of Cologne, which was thereafter published by the University.
Additional long term experience in the field of educational Special Needs led Valerie to immediately recognise the effectiveness and value of the ConquerMaths™ educational design. Having been 'truly hopeless' at maths in school herself (and having regretted it throughout her life!), she is passionate about getting this software out to as many maths students as possible throughout the world.
Richard Hunter
As a highly experienced web designer and programmer with a stong foundation in the IT industry built up over 17 years, Richard has been responsible for adding additional features and functionality to the programme to enable entry into new markets as well as providing added value and new features for the existing subscriber base. It is Richard's responsibility as Webmaster to ensure that the ConquerMaths™ system is always available to our subscribers as a stable and secure learning platform and to further develop the product to help ensure that ConquerMaths™ retains it's position at the top of its league.
